This week seems a good time to escape planet Earth and its wild weather events. To anyone who is/was in the path of Irma, I hope you and your family are safe and escaped any damage from the storm. As I write this, a typhoon is heading towards Taiwan, so I know a little of what it’s like. Luckily for us, it looks like Typhoon Talim is curving north away from the island, so we should be fine.
I’ve been locked in my captain’s quarters all week, and I’m pleased to announce I’m nearly one third of the way through the first book in my next series. The two main characters, a Woken called Cariad and a Gen called Ethan, share the story between them. I posted a snippet written from Ethan’s point of view here on my blog on Saturday.
I’ve also been jotting down some ideas for my science fantasy series. Do you like science fantasy, where magical elements are mixed in with the science? Do you have a favourite science fantasy book or movie? Let me know on Facebook or drop me a line by email. I’d love to hear from you.
I only reserved one spot for a 99-cent book this week because I anticipated that I’d be bringing you something special, and I was right! Pew! Pew! – The Quest for More Pew! is a new release that’s discounted for a very short time. I have a story in this anthology of hilarious tales, and what’s more, it’s an Amazon bestseller! (I think my story may be the WTF referred to in the description.)
8 Comedic Space Opera Adventures of Space Monsters, Dashing Heroes, and a Healthy Dose of WTF!
Follow bands of not-so-fantastic heroes and heroines as they fail to rescue damsels in distress, accidentally aid the galaxy’s dark lords, and generally just screw everything up.
Escape From my Fishwife – Zen DiPietro
Spellslinger – Chris Fox
The Gli+chover – Drew Avera
Trash Beings of the Galaxy, Unite! – J.J. Green
Crash – James S. Aaron
Miss Planet Earth – S.E Anderson
For the Love of Llama – TM Toombs
The Disknee World – M. D. Cooper

I’ve been crazy busy this week writing like a mad thing, but I’m determined to keep to my promise of releasing the final bundle of books 8, 9, and 10 of my Shadows of the Void series. So if you’ve been hanging on, waiting to read all three books in one go, hang on a little longer. I think I’ll be able to publish it next week.
Meanwhile…
Happy reading!
