Carrie Hatchett Space Adventurer book cover

Carrie Hatchett, Space Adventurer

My cat is literally sitting on my head as I write this so please forgive any mistakes. You’re right, I could ask him to move but he’s notorious for ignoring requests. (If you want to see him, I posted a photo in our Facebook group.)

Many thanks to everyone who suggested a location for my annual Carrie Hatchett Christmas story. The ideas were great and many captured Carrie’s craziness, which I loved. The email prizewinnder is Sharon and the Facebook prizewinner is Cee Mac.

I’m going to include suggestions from both winners in the story. Carrie is going to Australia for her festive adventure this year but that’s all I’m saying for now. You’ll find out more when I send you the story as your Christmas present!

I chose the land of Oz for a special reason. Carrie’s pet, Flux, has a connection to that country that you might be aware of if you read my Shadows of the Void series.

Ah, Black Cat moved at last. I’m glad my head isn’t as comfortable as he’d like.

ARC Team Invite

As well as gearing up for Christmas publications, I’m working hard on the second draft of The Scythian Crisis, and this is where your ARC team invite comes in! If you’d like a free copy of the book before it’s published, join my Review Crew by sending me a link to a review you already posted on one of my books (or tell me your reviewer name and which book you reviewed) at jenny@jjgreenauthor.com

In the meantime, check out a couple of great bargain books that are available at most online bookstores as well as Amazon.

A Robot Named Clunk

A robot named Clunk ebook

A robot named Clunk

“Brilliantly quirky, wildly absurd”

Clunk, a clapped-out robot, is convinced he’s about to be junked. Instead, his penny-pinching boss is sending him off to be refurbished.

Being old and wise, Clunk knows there’s a catch, but at first it doesn’t seem too bad. He just has to help a freelancer pick up some cargo.

Unfortunately, Hal Spacejock – the freelancer – is obstinate, over-confident, and woefully under-skilled, and he’s never going to let a lowly robot fly his precious ship.

Is there any chance this pair of misfits can lift off, collect the cargo and deliver it in one piece? Or will they fly straight into the nearest star, still bickering and fighting over the controls?

Ambassador Seeing Red

Would you betray Earth to save it?

24 October 2114: the day that shocked the world.

Young diplomat Cory Wilson narrowly escapes death in the assassination of President Sirkonen. No one claims responsibility but there is no doubt that the attack is extraterrestrial.

Cory was meant to start work as a representative to gamra, the alien organisation that governs the FTL transport network, but now his new job may well be scrapped in anger.

Worse, as Earth uses military force to stop any extraterrestrials coming or leaving, as 200,000 extraterrestrial humans are trapped on Earth, as the largest army in the galaxy prepares to free them by force, only Cory has the experience, language skills and contacts to solve the crime.

But he’s broke, out of a job and a long way from Earth.
