It’s hard to write a cat asleep on my chest, but I’m going to try.
Pets are like babies – once they’re asleep, you don’t want to disturb them, right?
If only they felt the same way about us.
I have to confess, the ship’s cat is somewhat of a hero of mine. Despite his age and general flabbiness (hmm, seeing some parallels here) he still bravely pretends he could come within a cat’s whisker of catching something in the garden. In truth, he’s never caught anything. Firstly because he spent his youth living indoors, and secondly because he doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing.
He sees a wood pigeon, stalks it, does a little half-hearted run, and then seems to forget what’s supposed to happen next.
Bless his heart.

Beyond the borders of known space, a Dark Fleet is gathering…
Volka, 6T9, Carl Sagan, and their band of sentient faster-than-light ships are charged with finding the Dark’s forces. But the enemy is closer than they realize, and the Dark’s next strike will be sooner than they think.
When the attack comes our heroes will be forced to evolve once more. Volka has become a true telepath. To fight the Dark, she must become a true leader as well. 6T9 is capable of destruction with a machine’s lack of remorse. He must learn when to stay his hand…not just to save humanity, but to keep the woman he loves.
They must succeed because the Dark has been evolving too. Carefully. Methodically. And it will stop at nothing short of the extinction of the human race.

Years have passed since Earth encountered its first known interstellar object: Oumuamua. Now an even larger one has been discovered, following the exact same trajectory as its predecessor.
Scientists around the world theorize that this can no longer be passed off as mere coincidence—the new contact must be an artificial construct of some kind.

The good news is, now the covers are ready, I can put up a preorder for the seventh book in the Space Colony One series, Restitution.

Another piece of good news is that the audiobook of The Fearless is finished and out for proof listening.
Patreon supporters know that I slip them a copy of the audiobooks as another thank you for their support, so if you’re a patron, ready your ears for your captain speaking a whole sentence of Welsh.
Enjoy your books, stay sane, safe, and happy! Looking forward to hearing about your sci fi hero or heroine.
My favorite Hero/Heroine, that is a tough call. My all time favorite author was Jams P. Hogan and his 5 book series call “The Giant’s” series I guess the hero is the character “Dr. Victor Hunt” who is in all 5 books, but there are about 15 other characters throughout the series that are great too.
Thanks Mike. I hadn’t heard of that series.
