I have lots to report on what’s been happening aboard Starship JJ Green this week.
First of all, I want to thank all of you who sent well wishes and prayers for the ship’s cat, who was poorly. I was very touched by your concern. I’m happy to report that she recovered from her illness and now she’s home again and eating like a lion to make up the weight she lost. She’ll be prowling the starship for invasive alien species in no time at all.
How have you been holding up during the political turmoil of the last week or two? If you’re anything like me, you’ll be looking forward to an escape from the hullaballo, just for a little while.
If that’s so, I have some great opportunities for you. Above is the banner to a lovely selection of scifi and fantasy books. Most are 99 cents, but there’s also a sprinkling of free books. Go here to take your pick.
Also, I’ve devoted a special section of my newsletter to a funny scifi series that’s becoming very popular. If you haven’t heard of Space Team, let me introduce you to this uproarious set of books. Book 1 is 99 cents for a limited time.
A hilarious, fast-paced space adventure from the author the Independent calls “the new Terry Pratchett.”
Cal Carver is having a bad day. Imprisoned and forced to share a cell with a cannibalistic serial killer, Cal thinks things can’t possibly get any worse.
He is wrong.
It’s not until two-thirds of the human race is wiped out and Cal is abducted by aliens that his day really starts to go downhill.
Whisked across the galaxy, Cal is thrown into a team of some of the sector’s most notorious villains and scumbags. Their mission should be simple enough, but as one screw-up leads to another, they find themselves in a frantic battle to save an entire alien civilization – and its god – from total annihilation.

My third offering is Patty Jansen’s monthly promo. If you’ve downloaded books from this promotion before, you’ll know that Patty can be relied on to provide some real gems. (Please note that this offer doesn’t start until the 4th February, and some books might not be discounted until then.) Click here to go treasure hunting.
Another exciting event to report is an author interview I did with fellow scifi writer Drew Cordell. I enjoyed answering his questions very much. It isn’t often that I take the time to sit back and think about what I’m doing and why, so I was grateful for the opportunity.
Now that I have a little more time to myself as the Chinese New Year holiday draws to a close, I’m returning to my writing. The second cycle of the Shadows of the Void serial is complete, and now I’m taking the story back in time to Jas’ experiences at college in Antarctica. I’m going to make this prequel free to all my subscribers. More on that later!
Happy reading!
P.S. If you missed out on the Chinese New Year offer last week because the page was down, go here to find your free Chinese-themed books.
