In my last newslttter I mentioned the supermoon on Monday evening. Did you see it? I remembered just in time and popped out for a view. Very lovely. I took some photos but they weren’t good, unfortunately. I hope you saw it, if you’re into that kind of thing!
Today I wanted to tell you about a fellow writer’s new release. Freefall, by Felix Savage, is a first contact book, and it’s 99 cents for two days only. I’ve read it and I loved it. Here’s the book description:
First contact … Second chances… Decommissioned from NASA over a trumped-up security gaffe, astronaut Jack Kildare knows that life will never be the same.
When photographs from the International Space Station reveal an alien craft in orbit around Europa, opening a terrifying new chapter in human history, Jack finds himself in the center of a gigantic international effort to respond to the alien threat.
The entire planet’s spaceflight resources are thrown into the fray, while unknown entities seek to sabotage the project from the inside out.
Submerged in a world of secrets, sabotage attempts and cold-blooded murder, with time running out, Jack must decode the secrets surrounding the arrival of the alien spaceship in our solar system. It’s not just his future at stake … it’s the future of planet Earth.
Snap up a copy of Freefall here, or if you’re on the fence about it, you can read the first few chapters for free in my second recommendation today — a selection of free scifi and fantasy books! Click here to see what’s on offer.
We’re having an Indian summer here in Taiwan. The weather just isn’t cooling down, but no doubt in a couple of months I’ll be moaning to you about how cold and damp it is.
I hope all’s well with you in your part of the world.
Happy reading!
