Is your life full of small ironies? Or maybe not ironies exactly, but things that make you wonder if someone, somewhere is having a big joke at your expense?
As you may know, our starship recently relocated from Taiwan to Cambridge, UK. Cambridge is a beautiful city and I feel fortunate to be living here, but after eight years of enduring scorching summers in Taiwan, I expected to enjoy a cooler climate.
Well, last Thursday was the hottest day in the UK this year. And can you guess where the hottest place was? That’s right. A temperature of 38.7 C was recorded at Cambridge Botanic Garden, the hottest temperature ever recorded in the entire United Kingdom.
Oh my word. At least in Taiwan we had air conditioning.
Never mind. The weather’s cooled down and we’re experiencing the usual British summer of showers and grey skies, lol. See a picture of one of the many gorgeous buildings in Cambridge below.
