So, Edinburgh! It’s a lovely city, but the weather was not on our side for our much-anticipated trip. Flooding in Wales and the west of England caused a knock-on effect to the trains that resulted in the prospect of having to stand for the entire 4-hour leg from Peterborough to Edinburgh. Fortunately, we did find seats in the end, but it was a bad omen.
While we were in Edinburgh strong winds, heavy rain and even a short snow storm cramped our style somewhat for our holiday. Edinburgh Castle was closed but we did manage some interesting visits to fantastic museums and walked the Royal Mile while listening to the occasional playing of bagpipes.

As I mentioned above, there’s been a slight but disappointing delay on Mercenary Mage. However, I’m very excited to begin work on Accursed Space. In this next episode in Carina Lin’s adventure, she journeys into a wild, lawless region of space in her efforts to return to the home of mages, Earth.
I introduced some new characters in Mercenary Mage, as well as some old ones who haven’t made an appearance since the Star Mage Saga prequel, Star Mage Exile.
The entire first book of Shadows of the Void is now available as a free audio book at Kobo. As not everyone wants to register there, I’m working on making the book available as a direct download, so stay tuned!
