Shipmate, would you like a good book to relax with on your starship voyage? I hope so because I have some cracking ones for you this week.
But first I want to mention a couple of special opportunities. If you’re interested in beta reading or joining my ARC team, don’t sign out after downloading your books. I’ve included some information on those positions later on in this newsletter.
I’m opening both of these teams to new readers because I’m planning another space opera series! The series is called Space Colony One, and the prequel story, Night of Flames, appears in The Expanding Universe. The setting is humanity’s first deep space colony, and the books will be longer than the novella length of most of the Shadows of the Void books.
If Space Colony One sounds like something you’d be interested in reading for free, check out the fourth section of this newsletter.
But wait before you skip ahead! Shadows of the Void book 9 is now live at Amazon. Shadow Battle is 99 cents for 48 hours only, so if you want to find out what’s happened next in Jas Harrington’s story, grab a copy now.
Shadow Battle – Shadows of the Void Book 9
Humanity is at war with invading aliens, and the battle’s about to go galactic.
Security chief Jas Harrington has exposed the secret invasion of Earth by hostile aliens called Shadows. She hopes the Transgalactic Council can come to Earth’s aid, and she and her companions await the Council’s arrival at Ganymede Outpost.
The galactic adventurers have with them the enigmatic organisms they rescued from a military weapons research station. When the Council members hear Jas’ story, they realize that the stolen organisms may hold the secret to defeating the Shadows.
Meanwhile, in the deepest regions of the galaxy, the Shadow battle has begun. Jas and her friends are forced to split up in order to fight alongside their galactic allies.
Jas enlists with the galactic fleet and is sent to serve aboard the space battleship Infineon. As the battle rages, it becomes clear that the allies face more threats than just the enemy’s ships.
Shadow Battle is book nine in the Shadows of the Void space opera serial.

Beta Reader & ARC Team Opportunities
I love hearing from my readers. It makes my day when people tell me they read one of my books, and I’m even happier if they enjoyed it, but that isn’t the only reason I like hearing from you.
Your feedback on my writing is invaluable. No matter how often I redraft, I can’t read my work as a reader would, so I need to hear your perspective.
There are two ways that Starship JJ Green voyagers can tell me what they liked and what didn’t work for them when they read my books.
Firstly, you can become a beta reader, which means you read early drafts of the books and let me know what you think. Secondly, you can receive Advanced Reader Copies of finished books just before they’re published and then leave a review.
(Just to be clear, you aren’t required to leave a review in return for receiving the free book because that’s against Amazon’s policy.)
I’m looking for beta readers and ARC Team members for Space Colony One. If you’re interested in either opportunity, please write to me at jenny@jjgreenauthor.com and include a link to a review of one of my books. You can also write to me if you have any questions.
Phew, it was a long newsletter this week! I hope you found something you liked. If you’re interested in becoming a beta reader or joining the ARC Team, I’m already looking forward to hearing from you.
Happy reading!
