I thought I would use Jas Harrington as the header for my Starship JJ Green’s ship’s bulletin this week. I love the covers that the artist, Heather Hamilton Senter, created for my Shadows of the Void bundles. I felt she captured Jas’ strength and integrity perfectly and every time I look at the cover for The Galathea Chronicles it wows me. I hope this slice of that cover brightens your day too.
We all need some brightness now and then. Last week I was feeling stressed and overwhelmed, but then things got better due to the kindness of my readers. That’s life, isn’t it? Ups and downs, swings and roundabouts. Battleships and tugboats.
So, our starship has been travelling a little more steadily recently. I’m a little behind schedule with finishing Daughter of Discord, but I don’t mind. I can see the end of the book and our FTL drive is speeding towards it. Don’t miss next week’s bulletin, where I’ll be including a link to a free copy of the prequel, Star Mage Exile. My review team are currently helping me out with reviews for this book, and they’ll receive copies of Daughter of Discord too when it’s finished. (You can see the cover here.)
I’ve set the clock ticking by uploading Daughter of Discord for preorder, due to be published on the 23rd April. No pressure there then!
I think that might be my first book to be published in 2018. To keep you in reading fodder until then, I’ll be including plenty of suggestions in my ship’s bulletins. We’re venturing a little off the space trade routes this week with a dark science fiction thriller, Andrei Cherascu’s The Positive Deviant (sounds like some poeple I know), and science fantasy, Justin Sloan’s Shadow Corps. Book 2 in the Shadow Corps series is also on sale, and book 3 is a new release.
In the booming metropolis of New Tokyo, a high-ranking business executive is tasked with transporting valuable company data in the form of an information package stored inside his mind. Fearing an attack from one of the Federation’s oldest criminal organizations, the corporation entrusts his safety to the Ayers-Ross Thoughtprotection Agency.
For Sheldon Ayers, a veteran telepath and Mindguard, the mission starts like any other. When his team is attacked in the high-speed transportation network below the city, Sheldon must once again use his legendary skills and experience to protect his client’s mind. But this time, he finds himself facing an enemy who seems to be able to predict his every move.
Fighting to adapt to an unprecedented situation, Sheldon suspects that behind the attack lies an unlikely adversary – someone even he couldn’t have prepared for, someone with ties to Sheldon’s past.
The Positive Deviant is a standalone prequel to The Mind Malignancy, a series of dark science fiction thrillers.

Death isn’t so bad if it means saving the universe.
Fending for herself in the cauldron of a planet torn apart by an alien invasion taught Samantha how to kill. Ruthlessly efficient, her abilities have caught the attention of the Shadow Corps.
A group comprised of deadly warriors who focus on galactic safety, using any means necessary.
A battle-hardened warlord causing you trouble? The Shadow Corps will ruin their day.
Her first mission puts her team up against a space dragon, death reapers, and the ultimate sorcerer.
Samantha had better learn to master her alien magic, or be forced to watch her world, and many others, burn.

What’s Coming Up?
Now that Daughter of Discord is nearly finished, I’m hoping to resume Saturday Snippets. I’ll have time to rewrite the beginning and post small morsels of the book, hopefully without giving any spoilers.
I’m also going to be spending some time over at Starship JJ Green on Facebook. Feel free to come over and introduce yourself1
Happy reading!
P.S. The Galathea Chronicles is leaving Kindle Unlimited soon, so I’m taking advantage of the KU promotion opportunities and making it free for a short time. Pick up a copy here.
