I hope your week is going well so far. This week is a rather special week aboard the starship JJ Green. I’m proud–and a little bit sad–to announce that the final book in my Shadows of the Void series is to be published on Friday!
That’s right. Nearly seven months to the day after publishing the first book, Generation, the tenth book of the series, Shadow War, is finished. Like Generation, Shadow War is a full-length novel. It rounds off the stories and explains some things that happened in the earlier books. I’m not saying any more.
Many thanks to my editor, Lacey Lengel, for editing the whole book in a matter of a couple of days, and also many thanks to you! I couldn’t do this without all my shipmates’ support.
To commemorate this event, I’m discounting the first books in both my series for a limited time. Now I realise that as you’re already aboard the starship JJ Green, you might have read these books, so I put together something special.
If you go to my Facebook page and share my science fiction series offer, I’ll enter your name in a draw for a signed paperback of a trilogy bundle of one of the series. It doesn’t matter where you live, I’ll post the prizes anywhere in the world.
But if by some chance you haven’t yet dipped your toes into one of my series, here’s your opportunity to pick up a 99-cent copy.
What if the alien who wants to kill you looks exactly like your best friend?
Jas Harrington, Martian Chief Security Officer of the starship Galathea, must protect her shipmates from hostile aliens. For the efficient if quick-tempered Jas, that hasn’t been too hard up till now. But her captain is drug-addled, and he’s hungry for the bonuses he gets from finding valuable resources on new worlds.
When the captain won’t listen to Jas’ fears about a mysterious planet, he is compromised by contact with a strange life form—a life form that threatens to take over the entire ship and return to Earth, where it can spread its deadly infection.
Now Jas is in a race against time, struggling to quarantine the alien infection and prevent the aliens from achieving their goal: Generation. She doesn’t realize it yet, but as she fights to save her crew, the future of all humanity hangs in the balance.
Generation is Book One in the fast-paced, exciting Shadows of the Void space opera serial.

The galaxy is in crisis, and Carrie Hatchett’s the last person on Earth who should be fixing it.
Carrie is a low-achieving daydreamer. After providing a good home for her butt-ugly dog and psychotic cat, her biggest challenge in life is to avoid being fired, again.
But a strange green mist sucks her beneath her kitchen sink, and an unusual clerical error leads to an offer she foolishly doesn’t refuse.
The Transgalactic Council hire her to settle a conflict between the mechanical placktoids and the mysterious oootoon. Carrie must overcome her personal weaknesses and, for the first time in her life, succeed in her job, to uncover a threat to the entire galaxy.
Mission Improbable is Book One in the light-hearted, fast-paced Carrie Hatchett, Space Adventurer series.

You might remember that in my last ship’s bulletin, I told you about a novella I’m writing to be included in the second volume of Pew! Pew – Sex, Guns and Spaceships… Oh My! I’ve posted a snippet of the first 1000 words or so here. It’s called, Trash Beings of the Galaxy, Unite!
Happy reading!
