Supporting Characters of Space Colony One 1 - 3

After nearly two hundred years’ space travel, humanity’s first deep space colony expedition has arrived at its new home.

But the new planet is not the paradise the scientists predicted. Alien predators lurk beyond the camp’s perimeter, and stowaway saboteurs are determined no one will survive.

Anahi

As one of the Woken, Anahi’s specialism is agricultural science, but her focus is the Gens, who she believes are leading the fledgling colony to disaster.

She has given up everything to join the colonisation effort. Her deepest desire is to see it succeed, causing her to make questionable decisions.

Quinn

The alien star of Space Colony One, Quinn is one of the fila, and their chief avenue of communication with the human colony.

Aubriot

As the Nova Fortuna Project’s founder, Aubriot occupies a special place in the Space Colony One series. Neither a scientist nor a Gen, he has no alignment, and no one is his friend.

To him, the success of the colony would be the fulfillment of a burning ambition. But the characteristics that made him a trillionaire on Earth don’t transfer to the new environment.

Florian

For an intelligent Woken genetic technician, Florian has a surprisingly childish sense of humour. But he’s hard-working and reliable so Cariad doesn’t mind. One Gen in particular finds him charming, and when crunch-time arrives, Florian shows what he’s really made of.

Montfort

Montfort woke from cryonic suspension to lead the revival of the rest of the Nova Fortuna‘s scientists. As the story develops, he plays a crucial role in helping Cariad identify the colony’s saboteurs.

Cassie

We meet Cassie in the genetic laboratory, where she labours to save the colony from inbreeding and eventual collapse. As a Gen, she learns fast and is resourceful, independent and conscientious to a fault.

Guardian

Strongquist

The Guardians are enigmatic figures, and as their leader, Strongquist is perhaps the most enigmatic of all. They claim they have the colony’s best interests at heart, yet their actions seem to imply the opposite. As Strongquist liaises with Cariad and Ethan, more information about his character and origins is revealed until, in the end, the colonists are faced with a shocking truth.

Guardian

Faina

Faina captains the Guardians’ FTL starship, the Mistral, which is the name of a strong, cold, northwesterly wind that blows in winter. Like the Mistral, the Guardians bring a shocking change, and Faina’s role turns out to have an unexpected influence on the outcome of crucial events.
