I have a cautionary tale for you.
I complained about my struggles with completing the final Space Colony One book, Reprisal, in our Facebook group. Usually when I’m at the end of a book the words flow freely. But that wasn’t the case when it came to writing the final story in the saga of humanity’s first deep space colony.
It took me two weeks to figure out the problem. It’s been hayfever season here in the UK, and I’d been popping a 24-hour tablet daily. What I’d forgotten was, anti-histamines mess with my creative brain.
I stopped the self-medicating and, sure enough, I finished Reprisal in a jiffy and I’m very excited about it, as well as sad to be saying goodbye, yet again, to a group of characters I’ve grown to love.
