If you sent your well wishes to the ship’s cat over his unfortunate encounter with a predatory alien, many thanks. He’s doing much better and he’s forgiven me for displaying his shaved bottom to all the shipmates.
As eye bleach for last week’s image, I’ve included a pic of a beautiful wildflower meadow I took last week at the Iron Age ring fort site, Wandlebury.

On the backwater world of Cayelle, Tina Freeman runs a shop with her son Rex: fifteen years old, half-human, half-android with a massive chip on his shoulder about having been born without arms or legs.
The shop makes a modest profit, but when a creditor turns up wanting his money back, everything goes pear-shaped.
She needs money and needs it fast. Another creditor is impossible to find. That leaves her one option: to return to the world she fled fifteen years ago and Kelso Space Station, where her spaceship has languished for over fifteen years, and finally sell the thing.
When Tina re-surfaces at Kelso, her presence is a threat to those who still defend the project, including her ex-husband, and they want to shut her up, but her continued silence may well mean the end of civilization.

Hmm, what else has been happening on the starship? One plan in the offing is to offer an audio library service via the website. Basically, you will be able to borrow JJ Green audiobooks for a short time, which will work out cheaper than buying them.
Also, work on Star Legend book four, The Resolute, is just beginning. I think that will be the final book in the series to appear this year (six books in total are planned), but I’m thinking of writing a supplemental story about one of the characters as a Christmas special.
We’ll see.
Enjoy your books, stay sane, safe, and happy!
