Talman Prime, Interstellar Fleet

It’s always a heart-warming experience to release a new book. The characters have moved on in their stories, and some stories have come to an end (though we know stories never really end). But releasing a book to my shipmates always makes it extra special.

Reprisal, the final book of Space Colony One, did so well when it released I was really pleased. If you downloaded a copy, thank you so much. (Discounted copies are still on sale at the ship’s store.) Though, naturally, it’s always sad to say goodbye to characters I’ve grown to love, I’m looking forward to meeting the new people arriving in my mind.

Now it’s time to move on to Talman Prime, Interstellar Fleet book 1. As I announced on the shipmates’ Facebook page, I cancelled the Amazon preorder. I didn’t think I had enough time to do justice to the ideas I have for this series. However, I did create preorders at all the other stores.

You can read the book as it’s being written by becoming a paid Substack subscriber. New chapters will arrive in your inbox every Monday. Chapter one went out yesterday, but you can read it and earlier books by checking the archives.

What’s Been Happening

It stopped raining!

For about one day.

I exaggerate. But we have had a very wet few weeks. We took advantage of a dry day and went for a walk at Houghton Mill and saw babies. Can you guess what babies we saw? Check the pic at the bottom of the bulletin.

A Request for Support

Fellow writer Jessie Kwak (who also has a story in the Infinite Worlds anthology), suffered a terrible accident recently when fragments from a stray bullet hit her eye. Thankfully, she’s on the mend, but as I’m sure you understand, she could do with some love and support.

To be clear, I asked Jessie’s permission to share her story. She didn’t reach out to me herself. But I know how cool and kind the shipmates are.
