What an adventure our starship has been on the last few days. Humanity’s Fight came out and zoomed up the rankings as the shipmates downloaded their copies. If you bought or borrowed a copy, thank you! If you missed out, Humanity’s Fight is at its shipmates’ discount for about another day. The link to the book is below.

You might remember a couple of weeks ago I mentioned a Name the Character competition. I posted a picture that reminds me of a character in one of my books. If you guess who it is, you win a free ecopy of any of my sole-authored books, including Final Onslaught, the next Space Colony One book. I think I flummoxed you, so here’s a hint: this person is one of the main characters in Interstellar Mission and Humanity’s Fight.

The picture is on our Facebook page here and my website here.

Humanity’s Fight Space Colony One

Fighting for freedom from galactic tyranny.

General Cherry Lindstrom is responsible for the defense of the colony world, Concordia. This last outpost of human civilization lives under constant threat of attack from hostile aliens who claim the planet as their own.

But decades have passed since the last assault, and the colonists have grown complacent. Thanks to the effects of time dilation, only Cherry and a handful of others remember the devastation wreaked on Concordia previously.

The Concordians don’t understand the danger the colony is in. Cherry must find a way to convince them and to build effective fighting force—before it’s too late.

Two galactic civilizations. One planet. Who will win?

News From Cambridge

As you might know, I recently relocated from Taiwan to Cambridge. We’ve settled into our new life more easily than I expected and we’re loving getting to know our new location. I think it’s mostly because we’re returning to our own culture and partly because Cambridge is a lovely place to live.

But.

I already miss Taiwan. The curse of spending years living in other countries is that no place is ever really home. You always remember the best parts of the country you just left. I miss friends, the weather, the quirkiness of Taiwanese life and the festivals. So I was delighted to discover that the Chinese community in Cambridge was holding a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration. I went along with my son and had a great time re-immersing ourselves in so many things we missed. I’ve included a couple of pics below.

Star Mage Saga is heavily influenced by my time in Taiwan, but I’ll tell you more about that next week and what you can expect aboard our starship for the rest of the year and in 2020.

Enjoy your books!
