Galactic Genesis

You know that feeling when you’ve been working on something for ages and then it all finally starts to come together? That’s what’s been happening for your captain aboard our starship this week.

For reasons that I can no longer even remember–probably middle age creeping up on me–I began writing two new series at about the same time last year. Predictably, it’s been hard to manage my production schedule, but the light at the end of the tunnel is approaching.

But before I tell you about what’s in store, I want to apologise on Bookfunnel’s behalf if you’ve been having problems downloading free books. After I mentioned the problem last week, shipmate Ann wrote to explain that the difficulties are at Bookfunnel’s end. If you haven’t been able to download any of my free ebooks, please reply to this and let me know. I’ll send you a file directly.

Returning to new series, The Concordia Deception, book 1 in my Space Colony One series will go live next month in the box set Galactic Genesis, which contains five more first-in-series space opera novels. I was surprised when shipmate Brian posted on our starship’s Facebook page to say he’d already preordered a copy! I hadn’t even told anyone what the set was called, but it turns out that M.D. Cooper is a wizard of book promoting. So now the secret’s out (it was never really a secret), Galactic Genesis goes on sale on 21st June.

On the subject of new series, a kind crew member added the two published Star Mage Saga books to a space fantasy list on Goodreads. If you enjoyed one or both of these books and would like to show your support, you can vote for them here.

I have lots more to tell you but I don’t want to go on too long. If you’re a Carrie Hatchett fan, you’ll probably love the clean, feel-good Harriet Walsh series below. Or if you’re in the market for something more serious, check out the double novella box set, Paradisi Exodus.

Peace Force Harriet Walsh Book 1

Peace Force

Would you work for a deranged robot? Harriet Walsh does!

Her weapon won’t fire without the right paperwork, the patrol car is driving her up the wall, and her crime-fighting computer doesn’t even have solitaire.
Welcome to the Peace Force …

Peace Force is set in the distant future, where the galaxy has been colonised and human-like robots are commonplace. It’s good clean fun, written with wry humor.

Paradisi Exodus

The Paradisi Exodus Boxed Set – Books 1 & 2

In the last decades of the twenty-first century, ten families seeking to escape an increasingly devastated Earth focus their power and wealth on constructing spaceships that will allow a select few to leave Earth and colonize the world they call New Eden. Here, on their new home in the Paradisi System, these Founding Families hope to avoid the environmental and political disasters that were destroying Earth. But they find that the world they claim for their own is already inhabited, and the Ddaeran, although human in their appearance, possess abilities that the Founders and their descendants find both intriguing and frightening…

Paradisi Escape (Novella 1 of the Paradisi Exodus Series)
In near future 2094, Earth is on the brink of nuclear winter. A secret evacuation is already underway, and Solomon Reach and his crew have guaranteed passage on the last ship to leave for colonization and exploration of a new planet in the Andromeda galaxy. When Solomon learns of a betrayal that will have catastrophic consequences, he is faced with an impossible choice: who will live and who will die?

Sideris Gate (Novella 2 of the Paradisi Exodus Series)
