In the alternate universe where Starship JJ Green voyages, it’s good things that come in threes, and this week I have three books I’m especially proud to bring you.
But before I tell you what they are, I wanted to talk about holidays (or vacations as you say in the US). We had a wonderful short break in Singapore recently. My favourite of all the things we did was our visit to the Gardens by the Bay, where we saw the futuristic Sky Trees and went into the massive glasshouses.
I posted my holiday snaps of Singapore on my personal Facebook page, though I’m wondering if I should have put them on my author page as the images inspired some sci-fi stories.
I’d love for you to share your holiday photographs too, so I’m running another competition. I’ll put the details at toward the end of this newsletter. The prize is the third book in my triple whammy!
Books one and two are follow ups from my first in series books I discounted last month. I’m reducing the prices on the second of my Carrie Hatchett series, Passage to Paradise, and the third Shadows of the Void book, Dawn, to 99 cents for a short time, so if you haven’t got around to reading them yet, now’s your chance to pick up a bargain.
A dark secret. A deadly shadow. A false dawn.
Under orders from Earth’s Global Government, Jas Harrington and the crew of the Galathea arrive at the colony world of Dawn, where the hostile aliens that infest their ship can be rooted out.
Jas soon learns that the aliens are called Shadows, and that there’s been a conspiracy of silence surrounding the threat they pose to the galaxy. She also finds there’s more to Dawn than meets the eye.
She discovers the horrible truth of what the Shadows do to their victims.
She discovers that Dawn’s security has been penetrated.
She discovers what the planet’s inhabitants are hiding.
As the Shadows draw near, Jas battles desperately to free the people of Dawn from their dark secrets. If she doesn’t succeed, no one can survive.

Carrie Hatchett is back. The Transgalactic Council may never be the same.
After a successful first mission, Carrie thought her job as Transgalactic Intercultural Community Crisis Liaison Officer was secure. But all bets are off when she travels to Dandrobia, a genetically engineered utopia. Beautiful and immortal, the dandrobians have been confined to their planet due their former tyrannical reign over the galaxy. Carrie must mediate between the dandrobians and their victims, the squashpumps.
But paradise isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, and, as often happens when Carrie’s around, things don’t go according to plan. Dandrobians escape to Earth, and the negotiations descend into chaos.
With the help of her long-suffering friend, Dave, Carrie must send the dandrobians home and restore peace. If she fails, it isn’t only her job at risk, because there’s more to the dandrobians than meets the eye.

Before we get to my holiday photos competition, I wanted to tell you about this opportunity to win a Kindle Paperwhite. Answer the outrageously simple question and enter your email address here, and share the competition for five more entries.
Finally, I’m proud to announce that Instafreebie are featuring one of my books in their promotion this week. The book is There Comes a Time, and if you don’t already have a copy, you can download a free one here. (You have to write your email address so they can send you the link, but don’t worry, you won’t be subscribing to this newsletter twice.)
That isn’t the competition, however! I have a handful of copies of There Comes a Time, and I’d love to give one away. If you’re interested in receiving a free, signed paperback, post a holiday photo here. It doesn’t have to be recent, or a great photograph, or somewhere unusual or amazing. We’d all love to see your snap. Good luck if you enter.
