How many homes have you lived in over the years? How important have those places been to you?
I was thinking about the importance of our sense of home today as I was finishing off the final edits to Mercenary Mage. It struck me that the Star Mage Saga is all about Carina Lin trying to find her true home, no matter what it takes.
It’s funny how stories set thousands of years in the future or on the most fantastical, outlandish worlds can still be about what it means to be human, and having a home is a large part of that. I’ve lived in many places in the world, and I’m not sure I’ve ever found my true home. Maybe that’s why I’m writing this series.
If you haven’t met Carina yet you can begin her story in this week’s featured book, Star Mage Exile, the free prequel to the series.
Many thanks and welcome to new Patreon subscriber, Duff Kindt.
Featured Book
Carina Lin is a slum brat turned merc, with a twist. She’s also a mage.
Carina would love to use her mage powers when she fights. If only life were that simple. In her part of the galaxy, mages live in fear of discovery. Slavery and torture are the best they can expect.
So when a young boy is kidnapped and Carina embarks on a suicidal mission to save his life, she faces a terrible decision.
For the rescue plan to succeed, she must Cast. But if she does, it could mean the end of everything for her.
Star Mage Exile is the prequel to the dark, exciting space fantasy, Star Mage Saga.

Publishing News
Pre-release copies of Mercenary Mage have gone out to Patreon Tier 2 subscribers, so if you’re in that group, check your email. I apologise for the delay, which was caused by hold ups in the editing.
The public release is on schedule for 25th March.
More free audio files are being added to the Shadows of the Void audio book project nearly every day.
Work continues on Accursed Space, and I’m heavily into research for an entirely new series. I can’t tell you much about that right now, but I will say that it’s another space fantasy like Star Mage Saga.
Enjoy your books!
