2019, the year of the the original Bladerunner, has arrived. Thank goodness that particular dystopian dream hasn’t come true. What are your plans? Are you determined to improve yourself, or are you already perfect in every way?
Here on our starship a few changes are afoot. We’ll be relocating our starbase to the UK after eight years in Taiwan. It’s going to be bittersweet. We’ll be leaving a country we’ve come to love, yet we’ll be able to spend more time with family we’ve missed.
Your captain is also planning on making some publishing changes. This year you and the rest of the shipmates will be first in line for my new series before they’re available at Amazon or anywhere else. As soon as Star Mage Saga book 3, Wildfire and Steel, comes out, I’ll begin work on a spinoff series from Space Colony One. Watch this space for updates!
One change I already made that I told you about last week is becoming a Booksprout member. Every month I’ll add a new free copy of a book that you can read and leave a review if you want to. This month’s book is a boxset, Carrie Hatchett, Space Adventurer books 1 – 3. Only 20 books are available and it’s first come, first served. The last time I looked, 3 books had already been downloaded.
Also check out R.D. Armstrong’s The Legion and the Lionness (book 3 has just come out) and M.G. Herron’s complete 3-book saga, The Translocator.
The Legion and the Lioness
★★★★★ “Wonderful Military Sci-fi tale with lots of twists and turns. Mr. Armstrong has created a fantastic universe.”
They said I would never finish flight school. Never rank at the top of my class. Never fly with the top aces. Never return from combat against the Kelton androids. Never survive emergency surgery.
Here I am.
The year is 2151, Earth is gone. A hellscape. I’ve been unfrozen after 72 years of cryosleep on a medical facility on Saturn’s moon, Titan. I have nothing, no home, no friends, no concept of this new world, these Titans.
All that remains is the old conflict that has blackened my veins and memories of the ones I loved still fresh in my heart. Forgotten for decades.
But it seems war hasn’t forgotten me, no, even in my slumber. My name is Captain Victoria Ann Belic, I was a wife and an ace fighter pilot, and have been revived for one reason–to die again.

The Translocator
A revolutionary quantum teleportation device promises to bring humanity one step closer to the stars.
Until it fails. Spectacularly.
Archaeologist Eliana Fisk is ripped from Earth while the whole world watches.
She lands on a strange new world inhabited by a lost tribe of ancient Mayans. Meeting them, getting first-hand exposure to age-old customs and rituals…it seems like an archaeologist’s dream.
But what if their rituals have a darker meaning? What if the god these people pray to is no god at all?
And how in the worlds will she ever get back home?
Thus begins a pulse-pounding race against time that hurls Eliana into the great unknown, revealing ancient technologies and marvelous mysteries more outlandish than she ever imagined.
The Translocator is an action-packed sci-fi thriller perfect for fans of Stargate, The Atlantis Gene, and other archaeology-inspired science fiction adventures.
Originally published as The Auriga Project, The Alien Element, and The Ares Initiative.
