What a great week it’s been. I was at the Taipei International Book Exhibition with the Taipei Writers’ Group, meeting readers and selling books. While I was there, I met a British film industry employee who’s working on the film adaptation of the Chinese scifi trilogy, The Three Body Problem!

Of course, in today’s world, geographical location is becoming less and less important. Though I live in Taipei, you, my Starship JJ Green shipmates, live all over the globe. A little more on that later.

This week was also a good one because I released my new book, Lost to Tomorrow. Some of you downloaded a preview of my novella, Death Switch, from Instafreebie. Lost to Tomorrow concludes that story and includes three short stories that I wrote for Taipei Writers’ Group anthologies. As always, I’ve dropped the price to 99 cents for a limited time.

Lost to Tomorrow

A scifi novella and three short stories in one bundle.

Death Switch
Human clones can save your life – at a price. Yi Ling sees no escape from her abusive, controlling father and impending marriage, until her job as a genetic technician allows her the perfect opportunity.

At the Shadow’s Edge
A young man has died in mysterious circumstances. Pathologist Shi Ping is determined to find the cause, but her father is ill, and her past threatens to catch up with her.

North to Taibei
The global catastrophe, Peak Heat, had come and gone, leaving devastation in its wake. When all the adults in a survivors’ community perish, a group of children travel north to mythical Taibei, hoping to find the luxurious plenty of old Earth.

The Collector
Mr. Chiang’s shop is a treasure trove of artifacts from the legendary times before Peak Heat. With Ma and daughter Ching Yi by his side, his life is complete. But a stroke of bad luck leads an officer of the fledging government to his door, and suddenly he has everything to bargain for.

My mailing list service provider has introduced a new feature that shows me the countries where you all live.

I was amazed to see such a geographic spread of readers. As well as readers in all the English-speaking countries, people living in such far-flung places as Norway, Nicaragua, Algeria, Turkey, Hungary and Argentina are reading this ship’s log.

I’d love to see a picture of where you live. As I’ve had some books printed for the exhibition, I’m offering one as a prize.

For a chance to win a free, signed copy of Carrie Hatchett, Space Adventurer Volume 1, delivered directly to your home, go to my Facebook page and post a photo of your location. If you don’t do Facebook, you can tweet me or write to me at jenny@jjgreenauthor.com
