Mission Improbable

I hope your week’s gone well as the last few days before the holiday break wind down. I’m happy to report that things aboard the starship JJ Green have good and I have several reasons to be pleased to send you the ship’s bulletin today.

Firstly, the fifth and final Carrie Hatchett, Space Adventurer book went on sale yesterday! True to my word, I’m discounting Carrie’s Calamity to 99 cents for 48 hours for my shipmates, and as a special Christmas present I’m also including A Very Carrie Christmas as bonus content. But that isn’t all. For those of you who haven’t started this series yet, I’m also reducing the first book, Mission Improbable, to 99 cents.

I’ve enjoyed writing Carrie’s adventures very much. Part of the reason is that I’ve always loved the TV series, Doctor Who. Carrie’s adventures are more than a little inspired by the series, and in the final book I pay a special homage to it. Also, to be honest, I see something of myself in Carrie. I’m not as messy as her, but I think I’m probably just as annoying in other ways. And I think I can be quite irrational at times yet somehow manage to get my jobs done.

My second reason for being excited to write to you is because I can announce my holiday competitions. I love to run these just so I can read the interesting submissions and see the accompanying photos. Go here to enter on my Facebook page or reply to this email.

Mission Improbable

If you like Doctor Who, you’ll love Carrie Hatchett’s Space Adventures.

Carrie Hatchett is a low-achieving daydreamer. After providing a good home for her butt-ugly dog and crazy cat, her biggest challenge in life is to avoid being fired, again.

But a strange green mist sucks her beneath her kitchen sink, and an unusual clerical error leads to an offer she foolishly doesn’t refuse.

As a Transgalactic Intercultural Community Crisis Liaison Officer, it’s her job to fix whatever problems the galaxy throws at her.

Has she bitten off more than she can chew?

Follow Carrie on her adventures today!

Mission Improbable is book one in the comedy sci-fi romp, Carrie Hatchett, Space Adventurer.

Carrie’s Calamity

LIMITED EDITION – INCLUDES THE LATEST CARRIE HATCHETT CHRISTMAS STORY.

Uh oh. Carrie Hatchett’s back in town.

When Carrie returned from her most recent assignment as a Transgalactic Intercultural Community Crisis Liaison Officer, she found a weird wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey effect had taken place.

The good news is, Carrie now owns the company she used to work for. The bad news is, the company’s products have come to life and are on the rampage. They’re terrorising the British population in a way oddly similar to the evil mechanical aliens everyone thought had been defeated.

Rampaging robots are only the start of Carrie’s problems.

She catches the most awful cold in the history of the world, and then her lovely new home is destroyed. Carrie’s forced to stay with her long-suffering sidekick, Dave, but her bestie’s pristine flat isn’t ideal for her pets or her messy habits.

Worst of all, Dave makes terrible tea.

Things go from bad to worse, and Carrie realises Earth’s local crisis has gone galactic. Can she really save the galaxy again?

Carrie’s Calamity is the fifth and final book in the light-hearted, fast-paced Carrie Hatchett, Space Adventurer series.

What’s Coming Up?

Now that my Carrie Hatchett, Space Adventurer series is complete, I’m excited to move onto new projects. In 2018 I’ll be publishing books in my Star Mage and Space Colony One series, and to do that, I need your help.

I’m looking for Advanced Review Copy readers for both series. (If you’re already in my ARC team, there’s no need to reapply – I’ll be in touch soon.) I have prequels of both series ready for you to read and review. To apply please write to me at jenny@jjgreenauthor.com with a link to a review you’ve already written on one of my books.

What’s also on the way aboard Starship JJ Green is another cover reveal. You can see the cover to A Very Carrie Christmas here.

Happy reading!

P.S. Don’t miss my post-Christmas blog – it includes a gift for you!
