It’s been a long, tiring week aboard the Starship JJ Green. I’ve set myself a gruelling schedule for the first half of this year and boy am I feeling it now. But I received an amazing boost a few days ago. I was feeling overwhelmed and discouraged when I checked my publishing accounts and discovered several new reviews! So thank you Cathie Hicks, Te Kee, Janet Cox (x3!) Joseph Schade, everyone who left a review on Night of Flames and anyone I’ve missed. You absolutely made my day.

In fact, all my shipmates make my day every day. Knowing that many of you have read and enjoyed my books always brightens my mood whenever I think about it. One of my tasks for this week was to begin a Starship JJ Green reader community on Facebook (I know some of you don’t use it – sorry!) I wanted to set up a place where you can post and talk to other shipmates, which you can’t do on my author page. So here it is! The page is very basic at the moment, but I’m hoping to build on it over time. Feel free to pop over and introduce yourself.

Chinese New Year is fast approaching, which means school holidays and plenty of fireworks. The first year was fun, but nowadays we like to escape to another country so we can get some sleep. This year we’re off to Australia and New Zealand, mostly visiting friends. I’m looking forward to it and to showing you a few snaps. Though I can see myself editing manuscripts in the small hours, it’s going to be fun.

I’m going to be stocking up my reading list ready for the long flights, and the two selections I have for you this week offer plenty of hours of pleasure at a very reasonable price. Both Aurora Springer’s Grand Masters Trilogy and Michael Wallace’s Void Queen Trilogy are only 99 cents for a limited time.

Grand Masters Trilogy

Spin through the galaxy, meeting exotic aliens, as young empath Violet hunts the secrets of the Grand Masters.

Grand Master’s Pawn
One young woman challenges the secret rulers of the galaxy, and risks a perilous love.

Grand Master’s Game
Psychically linked lovers fight to save the galaxy.

Grand Master’s Mate
Young empath, Violet Hunter, and the crafty Grand Master, Athanor Griffin, tackle the villains threatening civilization.

Reminiscent of science fiction stories by Frank Herbert and Andre Norton, this rollercoaster adventure offers weird characters and deadly horrors balanced by lighthearted moments.

The Void Queen Trilogy

Flying at the helm of a powerful battle cruiser, former pirate Catarina Vargus leads a collection of colonists, miners, engineers, and navy personnel to establish an outpost far beyond the frontier. The Royal Navy needs a forward operating base in their war against the alien race known as Apex, who has vowed to exterminate all sentient life in the quarter.

Catarina’s expedition soon draws the attention of Scandian marauders, driven from their home worlds by plague and war in search of plunder. Enraged by the intrusion into their territory and greedy to seize her fleet and supplies, they mount a fleet of star wolves to destroy her base before it can get a toehold.

THE VOID QUEEN TRILOGY, now in a complete compilation for the first time, is over seven hundred pages of space battles, alien wars, and interstellar politics.

What’s Coming Up?

One quickly approaching event is the publication of Star Mage Exile, which comes out on 29th January. I’ll be sending out review copies to the team this week. If you’re interested in receiving an early copy and writing a review, reply to this email and include a link to a review you’ve already written on one of my books.

Another exciting project in the pipeline is a Payhip page for my books. This is a place where I can sell my books directly to readers, and it means I can offer special deals to my shipmates that aren’t available to anyone else. How exclusive is that?

I hope your week’s been less hectic than mine.

Happy reading!
