All is peaceful and calm aboard the starship as we settle into our new orbit. You can see a picture of the ship’s cat at the bottom of the bulletin, surveying his new domain.
Another reason for the pleasant calm is my latest space fantasy, The Valiant, finally went out to Patreon supporters! If you’re a much-cherished patron, check your emails for your link.
If you aren’t a patron and you’re champing at the bit to read the latest J.J. Green adventure, about King Arthur in outer space, never fear. You can get a free early release copy by joining the Review Crew. There’s still time to sign up, but don’t delay too long if you don’t want to miss out. Just write to me at jenny@jjgreenauthor.com and include a link to a review you’ve already written on any of my books.

A Dangerous Haven. Adapt or die.
Nine hundred Vennans undertake a cultural exchange to Tradepoint, a space station where aliens from different worlds meet to do business. A young and gyfted Speaker, Gredin, is translator and diplomat for the happy occasion.
But a horrific vision shatters her first night’s sleep on Tradepoint. Venna, their homeworld, has been destroyed. Now the safety of the delegation, the only Vennans left in all of time and space, rests on Gredin’s young shoulders.
Stunned and grieving, she navigates trade wars and political prejudice, bartering with other races—some friendly, some neutral, some outright hostile—for what her people need to survive. And the cost of failure is the unthinkable.
Extinction.

To protect the human race, 6T9 evolved with the flip of a switch and a few lines of code.
But he’s made himself a killer as well as a protector. The programming that may save humanity has driven him from Volka, the woman he loves. In the heart of the Dark’s first strike against the Republic, 6T9 must discover what he has become, who he wants to be, and who he wants to be with.
Slowly and almost unnoticed, Volka has been evolving, too. Heartbroken by 6T9’s departure, she is torn between love and duty. Accepting the latter, she takes a mission that will lead her to the edge of the universe. There, she will be tested, and her evolution will pass a point where there will be no turning back.
An android who has become more than a sex ‘bot, a mutant who has developed startling abilities, 6T9 and Volka have become more than human. The changes they’ve endured may save the galaxy, but have driven them further apart.
Will they find a way forward together, or will the bond between them wind up another casualty of the Dark?

Now that The Valiant is all set for its Christmas release, it should be time to move on to Star Legend book two, The Fearless. But though ideas for the sequel are bursting from my head, I must put them aside for a short while. You see, it’s become a tradition aboard the starship to have a Carrie Hatchett Christmas story.
If you like Doctor Who, you’ll love the Carrie Hatchett, Space Adventurer series. Carrie isn’t as bright as the Doctor, but she has good intentions and a big heart. She also has a butt-ugly dog and cantankerous cat she loves to bits.
Carrie Hatchett’s Christmas is one of my freebie giveaways, but every year I also send a free, exclusive collection of all the additional stories as a seasonal gift to all the shipmates. You cannot get this anywhere except direct from me, so don’t forget to check your emails on the 22nd December.
Enjoy your books, stay sane, safe and happy!
