Out of this world science fiction
Now that the weeks are counting down to The Valiant’s release, I’ll be publishing snippets from the book every Saturday on my website, and I’ll put a link in the bulletins too.
News on the ship’s cat & sci fi offers
ARC copies of The Valiant go out this week, so if you’re in the Review Crew, remember to check your emails. Also, not all the patron’s copies of the book have been downloaded. If you’re a Patreon subscriber and missed your email with the link, please let me know.
Space Colony One Flash Sale
Sorry the ship’s bulletin is a day late. I’d arranged with another author to share his books, but he hadn’t dropped the price on them. Instead, I’m featuring the first two space colonisation, epic adventure Space Colony One novels, which continue the story from the free starter book, Night of Flames.
Your invitation
Another reason for the pleasant calm is The Valiant finally went out to Patreon supporters! If you’re a much-cherished patron, check your emails for your link.
November Sci Fi & Fantasy
Unfortunately, this has meant the release of The Valiant to Patreon subscribers has been delayed by a few days. It turns out your captain isn’t Superwoman, and she can’t get a book to the highest standard she can make it while also moving house – and dealing with a discombobulated ship’s cat, but that’s another story.
Boxset price drop & The Valiant
What’s up this week? Well, The Valiant is almost here for patrons! This new series, Star Legend, is set about two thousand years in the future and involves three factions competing for control of Earth, with a heavy dose of British mythology. I’m completing some last-minute tweaks but I’m hoping to get the book out in the next few days.
Thank you!
In the previous bulletin I asked for your opinion on the cover for The Valiant, book one in my latest series, Star Legend. I was overwhelmed with all the replies, which ranged from ‘cool, I like it’ to detailed, considered responses on all aspects of the image. If you replied, thanks so much. It made me appreciate how supportive the shipmates are. I really couldn’t do this without you, and I hope to write plenty of great books for you to enjoy to show my appreciation.
What do you think of this?
So, this is the preliminary cover for The Valiant, book one of my new space fantasy, Star Legend.
The ship’s cat has the zoomies
On a more positive note, I’d like to give a warm welcome and say a big thank you to new patron, Richard L. Adams. Along with the rest of the Tier 2 patrons, Richard will receive book one in my new series around the end of this month. I think I’m naming the series Star Legend. You can meet the main characters in Publishing News below.
What shipmates can expect
As promised, the first box set of the Star Mage Saga is here! This is the story of Carina Lin, a mage with a mission to find a safe haven for her family. The second box set, of books 4 to 6, comes out at the end of October. (If you aren’t an Amazon shopper, fear not – the saga will go live at other bookstores in 2021.)
Shipmates’ invitation
Many thanks if you sent in a sci fi series suggestion in response to last week's bulletin. The shipmate who was looking for a new show to watch now has plenty of great ideas. Our starship has seen an influx of recruits over the last few days, so if you're new,...
